Class Description
Engaging in exercise supports a healthy life! This class will offer a fun way to help you identify your personal health goals and discover exciting new ways to incorporate physical fitness in your daily life. You will learn about the basic principles of physical fitness through a combination of classroom activities and group walking or running. Classroom topics include: setting a fitness goal and working toward it, basic stretching for injury prevention, setting the stage with good eating habits, proper form, and staying injury-free. The class also includes a physical activity component to get you up and moving through a crawl, walk, run method. Please bring weather appropriate exercise attire. Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome. No experience necessary. Adaptations will be offered to meet the needs of most fitness levels.
 
Important Class Notes
This class is designed to accommodate most fitness levels and will provide support for both walkers and runners. Registration fee for this class will include the entry fee for a 5K race that will be held on the final day of class, May 16. Participation in the 5K is not required to attend this course. Course instructors will provide additional details.
